PRESS RELEASE
Coca-Cola continues to pay tribute to the consumer. After last year's attention-grabbing campaign, the classic logo is once again replaced by the most common first names in Sweden. New for this year is that as many as eight out of ten Swedes will be able to find their name on the famous bottle.
To spread joy and celebrate the consumer, Coca-Cola is once again replacing its classic logo in the Dela en Coke campaign with the most common Swedish names. After a nice reception last year, more Swedes will find their name on the label this summer. In total, around 600 names will be on the labels, compared to 150 names last year.
- After the great reception last year, we want to pay tribute to our consumers and continue to inspire them to share joy with loved ones. Over 10,000 photos were shared on Instagram under the hashtag delaencoke. Now we are expanding the campaign so that even more people get their names on our iconic bottle, says Eric Nilsson, brand manager Coca-Cola Sweden.
The campaign now starts in May and runs until the end of August and is carried out in 70 markets at the same time, compared to 50 last year. In Sweden, 85 million bottles and cans will get new labels during the summer. Names will adorn the labels of Coca-Cola, Cola-Cola Light and Coca-Cola Zero. In addition to names, there will also be labels urging "Share a Coke with the Best" or "Share a Coke with Love".
- In addition to the commitment from consumers last year, we increased the soft drinks category within the service trade by ten percent during the campaign, which we are proud of, says Eric Nilsson.
For those who can't find their name after all, there are several possibilities to get a unique bottle. On delaencoke.se, it will be possible to order 20-centiliter glass bottles with your own name on them from July 1 and have them delivered to your home. It will also be possible to share a virtual bottle with a friend on Facebook via delaencoke.se from June 1. There are over half a million of the most common names in Europe to choose from. At various consumer and store events around the country, it will also be possible to get a unique can of Coca-Cola.
