Coca-Cola has its roots in popular culture and has long worked with music and global artists. Earlier this year, Coca-Cola in Sweden broke the news of making a major investment in Swedish music artists. During the year, the brand will collaborate with some of Sweden's most interesting and acclaimed artists to enable their music videos and marketing. Now Hov1 releases the song "Blå" for the football summer.
Coca-Cola has always been associated with music. Many have enjoyed a Coca-Cola at a concert, a festival or with music in their headphones. A couple of weeks ago, Coca-Cola released the news of making a bet on the Swedish music scene and now Hov1 is releasing the song "Blå" ahead of the football championships.
- Since we were little, we have all played football. Some of us longer and more than others. When we were in our mid-teens, we became interested in doing other things in life, including music. But whatever we have done, whatever we do, the love for the ball has always been there. It has never left us. Wherever the music has taken us, whatever roads we have walked and whatever countries we have experienced. So we have always benefited from being able to communicate in the language of football. Therefore, we have chosen to write a tribute song to us, the people, the players in the Swedish national football team, but above all Sweden. Because everyone sees one's successes and setbacks. But no one sees the way there. Nobody sees the sleepless nights, the sacrifices and all the hours that made us what we are today, says Hov1.
With the major investment in music in Sweden, Coca-Cola wants to make an impression on pop culture and support several of the country's hottest stars. The Swedish investment is carried out together with United Screens Music.
- It is fantastic fun to have the opportunity to support some of Sweden's biggest artists with music videos, and the collaboration with Hov1 is especially fun because football and music are so associated with Coca-Cola, says Victoria Adolfsson, brand manager at Coca-Cola in Sweden.
