Coca-Cola Enterprises has completed a transaction with The Coca-Cola Company which, among other things, means that they are buying the Swedish beverage manufacturer Coca-Cola Drycker Sverige AB. The Swedish company thus becomes part of the world's third largest independent Coca-Cola producer, a Western European operation headquartered in Atlanta and listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: CCE).
"The deal can be seen as a receipt for the successes we have created in Sweden and that there is strong confidence in how we run our business," says Göran Holm, CEO of Coca-Cola Drycker Sweden. "In recent years, we have expanded the product portfolio, worked intensively with customer focus and further strengthened our sustainability work."

Coca-Cola Drycker Sweden has been owned by The Coca-Cola Company since 2001. Coca-Cola Drikker AS, in Norway, will also be part of the new constellation. While Coca-Cola Enterprises has an international reach, their focus is always local and they always strive to be a responsible local employer and an asset to the community. Coca-Cola Drycker Sverige AB will change its name to Coca-Cola Enterprises Sverige AB at the turn of the year.
