As part of its long-term investment in football, Coca-Cola Sweden is now starting a two-year collaboration with one of the world's best football players, Kosovare Asllani. Asllani will be an ambassador for Coca-Cola for a two-year period starting on January 1, 2019, and the collaboration applies to all products and brands that Coca-Cola sells in Sweden.
Since the 70s, Coca-Cola has been one of the world's biggest sponsors of football. In addition to major agreements with FIFA and UEFA, local agreements have also been entered into in markets where football is a dominant interest. In 2017, it became a partner of the Swedish Football Association in an agreement that runs until 31/12 2020. This agreement includes men's, women's, e-football as well as broad & grassroots operations. In addition to this, Coca-Cola is also a partner of the Gothia Cup. The collaboration with Asllani is the first personal agreement in football to be signed in Sweden.
- It feels very exciting to start a collaboration with Coca-Cola, which invests so much in football, especially ahead of the upcoming World Cup. We share our ambitions for football and have the same values. It is about time that the status of us women's soccer players is raised to the level we deserve and it is fantastic fun to work towards a more equal soccer Sweden where everyone is valued equally together with Coca-Cola, says Kosovare Asllani.
The collaboration means that Coca-Cola has industry exclusivity in the category "non-alcoholic beverages", which includes all brands and products that Coca-Cola Sweden sells, for example soft drinks, water, flavored water, iced tea products, energy, sports and functional drinks as well as milk-based products .

Asllani is not only a high performing soccer player, she also has clear values where we are united in our view of diversity and the equal value of everyone. The collaboration starts on 1 January 2019.
